AKQUINET expands SAP unit

AKQUINET acquires SI-Consulting, a Polish-based company specialised in SAP implementation and IT services

Hamburg (Germany)/Wroclaw (Poland), 28.03.2023. Akquinet GmbH is acquiring SI-Consulting Sp. z o.o., a Polish company specialising in SAP implementation and IT services. The signing and the application for antitrust approval took place on 24.03.2023, the closing is expected at the end of May 2023.

AKQUINET acquires shares in SI-Consulting.The management of SI-Consulting will continue the successful development of the company and its expansion as part of the AKQUINET Group. This transaction will enable AKQUINET to expand its presence in the Polish market. We have already been active in Poland for years and can now really take off with SI Consulting as one of Poland's leading SAP consulting firms. At the same time, IT specialists and programmers will get the opportunity to develop in cooperation with Akquintet team," says Thomas Muszal, Managing Director of akquinet GmbH responsible for the SAP division.

SI-Consulting: Experienced SAP provider with 200 employees

SI-Consulting Sp. z o.o. is a leading company in the field of SAP and SAP-related software development based in Poland and employing around 200 people. The company has been active in the industry for 20 years, and enjoys a high reputation for providing sophisticated services to its clients. "The competences of SI-Consulting and AKQUINET complement each other perfectly. We are very pleased that together with AKQUINET we are now operating even more internationally," says Paweł Rytelewski, one of the managing directors of SI-Consulting.

AKQUINET: Comprehensive IT service provider with 950 employees

AKQUINET, headquartered in Hamburg, has 950 employees and operates from over 20 locations in Germany and Austria. The company specialises in the consulting and implementation of ERP systems (SAP and Microsoft) and the individual development of software solutions. AKQUINET manages four data centres in Hamburg, Norderstedt and Itzehoe for its customers. The AKQUINET team has expertise in SAP, ServiceNow and Microsoft. AKQUINET serves various industries, including healthcare, finance and logistics, with its customised software solutions as well as support and service in all areas from planning to building state-of-the-art data centres.

Acquisition is part of growth strategy

AKQUINET had positioned itself for further growth in May 2022 with Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), which had acquired shares and business interests in AKQUINET companies.

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), listed on the stock exchange since 1985, is one of the most renowned private equity companies in Germany. As an investor and fund advisor, DBAG's investment focus has traditionally been on medium-sized companies with a focus on well-positioned companies with development potential, primarily in the DACH region. The sector focus is on manufacturing companies, industrial service providers and industry tech companies - i.e. companies whose products enable automation, robotics and digitalisation - as well as companies from the broadband telecommunications, IT services, software and healthcare sectors. Since 2020, DBAG has also been represented in Italy with its own office in Milan. Assets managed or advised by the DBAG Group amount to approximately €2.6 billion. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
