AKQUINET
Successful Results & Senses of Achievement
Expertise and inspiration, latitude and focus, perception and esteem – those are the principles that connect us at AKQUINET and play a role in all facets of our work.
From consulting and project planning to implementing the highly customized requirements for IT solutions: flat hierarchies and mutual appreciation help us reach our goal directly.
That is to say, your goal.
Our Philosophy
What we Stand For
Promoting individual strengths, social commitment, innovation through motivation, and communication on equal footing: we respect each other and the environment. We live sustainability by using natural resources responsibly and by maintaining business relationships that have grown through trust and respectful collaboration.
Diversity, prudence, tolerance, and competence go together splendidly at AKQUINET.
Our Inclusion
Strong Alone, Invincible Together
From the very beginning, we have worked and acted with the awareness that living inclusion makes us even stronger – after all, when combined, individual strengths are much stronger than a handicap. And, of course, passion is the greatest qualification. Passion for what we want to achieve and passion for what we accomplish together every day.
SUSTAINABILITY AT AKQUINET
Green IT
Green IT is another area we are pioneering with heart and soul. Our location in Hamburg Alsterdorf was thus the first data center in Germany to receive the Blue Angel award. Powerful, secure, and carbon neutral. That’s the way to go!
Corporate Social Responsibility
Assuming responsibility also means continual self-monitoring. That is easy for us because sustainably economic and social activity – the core themes of corporate social responsibility (CSR) – are part of all everyday dealings at AKQUINET.

AKQUINET takes over the data center of the insurance company Itzehoer Versicherung and, together with the evangelical foundation Evangelische Stiftung Alsterdorf, constructs a data center as an integration enterprise. More than 40 percent of the employees working there have handicaps or impairments.

The business areas Microsoft, custom software solutions, SAP, and outsourcing are established. The SAST Suite rounds out the portfolio.
The first location abroad is established in Austria. Experts from the fields of social economy and container terminals enhance the portfolio.
The IT service provider Dataport commissions the construction and operation of two TWIN data centers in Hamburg and Norderstedt.
akquinet AG and the University of Applied Sciences Wedel found the Institut für Softwaretechnik und Outsourcing (Institute for Software Technology and Outsourcing) at FH Wedel GmbH. The dual study program in business informatics is based on three main components: study at the UAS Wedel, practical experience at a training company, and application-oriented seminars in Hamburg.
